so Lakers swimming and diving definatly kicked some MAJOR butt yesterday and BROUGHT HOME A CONFERENCE WIN!!!!!!! in other words we are the best in division II!!! you know those banners in the gym and those placques outside the gym in the class windows? wellllll....we now have one for Lakers 2005!!! i myself did well also...i placed in the top ten for all my individual events out of 17...7th in the 200 and 6th in the 500!! can we say booyah! it was a really close meet but we did it...it is truly a cinderella story...we went from winning one meet last year and 6th out of 7 at conference to undefeated in our division and winning conference....you have no idea how it feels right now...well that is unless you have swum at conference and won it...aka last year's seniors...i'm so proud of my girls but even though this meet was very good...i don't want to come back next year...swimming isn't appealing to me anymore...it used to be fun....but it's not anymore....i'm ready to give up...i've been working my butt off for the last three years for nothing...i want to do better but with all these freshman that keep coming in are better than me and brett is focusing on them...and i don't mean anything to the team apparently...lil A is coming to sectionals with us...love her to death...but it's not fair how i work my butt off and she can fool around in practice and still get all the help on getting better...and getting in the better relays instead getting stuck with the girls that swim 20-30 seconds SLOWER than you...it's NOT FAIR!!! she swims the SAME times i do and she gets in the fast relay that gets the medals? WHY!! if i was a quitter i would NOT come back next season...but i don't give up something after i start it...but i can tell you this...i give up...i don't know what else to do...good luck lakers...i'll be there...but you amazing freshman can have your glory b/c obviously my one year of swimming left doesn't matter |

don't give up heather! you can do it! talk to your coach about it and ask what you can do to improve yourself. but don't give up! a quitter never wins and winner never quits! i love you so much heather, so don't give up! DON'T GIVE UP! (i feel like one of those narrarator things in a movie that are like past thoughts echoing..lol) but don't ever give up because your team needs you!
heh...thank you sarah....but you need to see the team..and where i am on the team...i'm the team's long distance person...but so is vicky...and she's faster...honestly the team can do without me....they can just put L2 in it or better yet my freshman twin who is faster than me apparently...and i have talked to my coach...he's worked with me for like 5 minutes and moved on to Amanda...it's hopeless and it's not worth building myself up and hoping that it will change...b/c it won't
keep asking him to help you and make him notice that you are struggling. that is all you have to do. but never ever ever give up. i love you!
sarah i love you to death...but you have to understand...you do not know about the way brett looks at the team...i have asked him...and i am not stuggling...i'm doing well...i'm one of the top 10 swimmers in division II for events...that's why he's letting me be...but i can do better but he would rather see amanda improve right now b/c she has 3 more years...i only have one...i wish it was that easy..but it isn't....
